Tales from the River Thames feedback
With only three shows left to go and most of the run sold out NIE have had a great time in the tunnels with Unicorn Theatre. We have been thrilled with the response and are looking forward to playing our final schools shows tomorrow!

Tales from the Thames - into the tunnels
Despite the hot weather in London, we are now working inside the railway tunnels for our project which stay at a cool 12 degrees all year round. We have started playing with the stories in the space, and begun some set design work to transform the building with the help of HSBC volunteers.

Tales from the River Thames
This week we started working at the Unicorn Theatre on our site specific project taking place this June. Using the stories that were created through workshops in Primary Schools over the autumn, we have been seeing how these can be turned into mini performances with the help of Unai, Carly and Kieran as well as Cath and Jenny from The Unicorn, Tina our set designer, Ella and David.

We then went by ex-police boat from the Dome across to Trinity Buoy Wharf where we heard Soho Theatre members rehearsing for their new opera, and then we went up the only lighthouse in London:
Space for a show (part1): underground London
Alex and I spent Friday travelling up and down the River Thames in London looking for an exciting space to perform Tales from the River Thames - our participatory performance project with The Unicorn theatre in 2012.

We went under the railway tracks looking at the atmospheric (and damp) Old Vic Tunnels, the damp smell reminded us of the Underbelly in Edinburgh:
