Workshop day in Stockholm

This Saturday we have been taking part in a special workshop day organised by ASSITEJ Sweden called "We need to talk about the past". Inspired by NIE's show Berlin 61 we have been working with a group of Swedish theatre makers who want to make work based true stories from recent history.

We talked a lot about the murder of Swedish prime minister Olof Palme in 1986 as a defining moment in contemporary Swedish history. It was a lively and, at times, quite provoking workshop day. The final outcomes (some brief performances) were impressive and interesting.
