Today's the day

We are in Le Havre and just phoned the boat people to find out when we can go on board. Over the past few days it has become clear that dates and times are not as definite as with a flight.

But it seems now that we can go on board today and will leave Le Havre tomorrow at 2pm. Then we're off to Rouen first, then Port de Bretagne on Saturday and we'll be leaving Europe behind on Sunday.

We are all very excited, but it still feels partly surreal as none of us knows that much about the boat.

Yesterday Kjell, Liz and I went into Paris for a late lunch, some shopping and a view of the Eiffel Tower.

This is the last post I will write in a while. I will catch up when we get to Guadeloupe, but once we leave this hotel (in 20 mins), I will not be part of the world wide web until we reach the other side of the Atlantic.
